    The hotel is around 10 minutes' drive from Red Stag Timber-Waipa Saw Mill and within a few blocks of the Mitai Māori Village. The compact zoo "Rainbow Springs Nature Park", 2.6 km away, is definitely a must-see for family tourists in Rotorua. The Te Puia cultural centre is situated approximately 15 minutes by car from the Newina Rotorua. For those travelling from afar, Rotorua Regional airport is 20 minutes' drive away.

    During my recent city trip to Rotorua, I had the pleasure of staying at Newina Rotorua, which exceeded all expectations. The spacious double room featured a fully equipped kitchenette-ideal for our meal prep after exploring the stunning hiking trails nearby-along with a large, cozy king-sized bed that felt like a tropical escape. The property was pristine, with soundproof walls and a private courtyard, perfect for unwinding with a view of the beautiful gardens. While the outdoor swimming pool and sauna were inviting, the highlight was definitely the extremely friendly staff, who were brimming with recommendations and local expertise. I found the location convenient as it was easily accessible to the center, allowing us to easily venture out for sightseeing while still enjoying a peaceful retreat at the hotel. This gem is perfect for anyone looking for an affordable yet luxurious stay, combining comfort, cleanliness, and top-notch amenities-truly a delightful experience reminiscent of my island vibes back home in the Bahamas!
